A Fairytale for the Forgotten
A lonely child, beautiful, nameless, and unwanted from birth. Her suffering is hidden in plain sight in a tranquil world unfamiliar with conflict and hardship, a world now vulnerable to evil because of complacency after centuries of peace.
She forms an unlikely friendship with Taavi, the only son of a devoted young couple. In keeping with tradition, they leave him at an early age with a mysterious order known as the Realm. While there, unknown to Taavi's parents, it is revealed that his life may be taken in fulfilment of a shadowed prophecy.
Bound to secrecy by ancient oaths, the Keepers of the Realm can only communicate with the youngest children of their world and their animal Guardians. Will their ageless mystic traditions be enough to save him?
Or will his quiet bond with his silent friend be what it takes to save them both ... and their world?
About the Author
C H Flint earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. She writes fantasy she hopes will speak deeply to those who read her work. She is married with children, among them several other writers. She now writes and edits from her small farm where she cares for a menagerie of animals, welcoming rescued animals, whenever possible. Her love of animals and her concern for young people and their treatment in the world helped to inspire her debut book, Ermingild, The Realm and the Silent Rose.
